Jamie founded Conduit Finance in 2007 after identifying a gap in the mid market for a boutique debt advisory firm.  The unsatisfied demand was from property and SME borrowers seeking an alternative from the retail banks.    

Jamie has previously worked for: 

  • St James’ Place: pensions, bonds & investments & pension technical
  • Prudential: pensions, bonds & endowments
  • AEGON: executive pensions, endowments & investments
  • Clydesdale Bank: real estate, retail banking & SME lending
  • Bank of Scotland: SME, real estate, retail banking projects 

He is responsible for leading the team, the direction and growth of the business and supporting clients who require complex funding solutions.  Jamie is also a Director of Property Finance Finder and is about to launch Conduit Private Finance.

 

Andy Lawson

Andy has over 13 years of banking experience in both the UK and Australia. His knowledge of Commercial and Corporate Debt comes from his time with the following major banks:  

Bank of Western Australia: new business sales in personal banking.
Bank of Scotland: corporate real estate , SME senior debt lending.
Bank of Ireland: UK-wide focus on property investment & development.

Andy has a thorough understanding of lenders credit policies, risk profiles and their financial modelling requirements, so when new proposals are submitted they are quickly assessed and progressed. 

 

 

Scott McClymont

Director

Scott McClymont has joined Conduit Finance as a Director.  Scott brings with him a 21 year career in banking and financial services. His professional background includes time with Bank of Scotland, Barclays and Lombard. Most recently active in the Scottish market, Scott will now be focused on serving clients from across the UK with who have requirements from £1m to £20m.

Scott joins Conduit Finance to augment the team’s technical ability, and provide experienced resource to help conclude property development and investment transactions.

Scott's strong service levels and Conduit's access to creative capital combined will result in our clients having a commercial advantage over their competition.

Sean Crombie

Manager

Sean joined Conduit Finance in 2015 after a career in professional rugby.  He has a BA in Business Economics from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh which he completed on a part-time basis whilst playing professional sport. 

He currently works in both debt advisory and solvent restructuring. 

The debt advisory cases Sean handles are in the Property and SME finance space.  Engaged to assist borrowers with Property Development, Investment and Land finance he sources, structures and delivers funding from our wide panel of lenders including family offices, private debt funds, bridging lenders and retail banks. 

Solvent restructuring is an advisory service Sean facilitates for borrowers with Personal Guarantees that are under pressure from the connected creditor. 

He helps mediate and negotiate with the creditor to mitigate risk for the borrower.  The ultimate aim is to settle any residual balance and to exit the borrower from the lender and the personal liability.   Please contact Sean to discuss how he can be of assistance to you.

 

Lisa Pandolfi

Lisa joined Conduit Finance in early 2011 in a role that focuses on handling new business for loans below £500,000 and the operational side of our business.   She has a background in financial services and property and supports clients seeking loans from a range of source including retail banks and bridging lenders.  

Lisa has worked in Business development for an Edinburgh based property and investment firm and as a Para planner for a firm of IFA's handling ethical investment opportunities.  She has a Masters Degrees from St. Andrews, a degree from the University of London and also passed her FPC 1.  

 

Mel Roy 

Office Manager - Part Time

Mel joined Conduit Finance in 2014 and works part time as our Office Manager. She assists Jamie and the team with the day to day running and on-going improvement of the business.  Whilst ensuring the office operates smoothly, she is also responsible for bookkeeping, payroll and financial reporting.  

Mel studied Architecture at Glasgow School of Art, and moved into recruitment shortly after.   She worked initially in IT recruitment and then Construction.  After working as a Managing Consultant for a global firm, she ran her own business until 2010.  After that closed, she moved into working primarily as a figurative artist.

Mel is a practising Visual Artist, who mainly works with the figure, and produces oil paintings and collage works primarily.  

She exhibits and curates exhibitions regularly in Edinburgh with the Esbat Collective, and recently has work on show at The Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh, as part of the RSA Open 2017.

 

 

Stuart Cardozo

Stuart is one of the founding partners of Conduit Private Finance.  Stuart has twenty years experience in Financial Services and set up his own Independent Financial Advisory business in 2009. 

With experience providing advice to both private and corporate clients, Stuart has a strong track in the delivery of financial solutions in Mortgages, Insurance, Retirement Planning, Investments and Trusts.

Jack Stevenson

Transaction Support

Jack provides Transaction Support to the Conduit Finance team.  He supports the team in Debt, Equity and Mezzanine fund-raising for SME & Corporate businesses, and for property developers and investors. 

Jack attended Holy Rood High School and Edinburgh College where he studied for a Business Management HNC.  

In his spare time, Jack enjoys going to the gym and playing and training for his local rugby team.
When he can he travels to Spain to visit his family and friends.

Natalie Milne

Transaction Support

Natalie too provides Transaction Support to the Conduit Finance team.  She supports the team in administering transactions for Debt, Equity and Mezzanine fund-raising for SME & Corporate businesses, and property developers and investors. Natalie supports the Office Manager in a variety of tasks across the business.

Natalie studied at Preston Lodge High School from 2010-2016, and has previously worked for Royal Bank of Scotland.  

After work Natalie enjoys spending time with friends and going to the gym.

Property Finance Finder

Our sister company - Property Finance Finder, is a web based portal that allows borrowers and advisers to source competitive Property finance products. 

Launched in August 2014 it serves to connect property borrowers with sources of development and investment finance. Covering Senior Debt, Mezzanine and Equity sources its growing panel of lenders also includes less traditional sources such as contractor finance. 

The system comprises 10 years of historic lender data and criteria as well as capturing the many new to market lenders we profile on a day to day basis.   Beyond individuals and company borrowers the service is aimed at Accountants, IFA's and Brokers.
